Kennewick is the largest of the three cities in the TriCities and hosts the Tri-City Americans hockey team as well as the Indoor Football League’s Tri-Cities Fever. Every summer, hydroplane racing takes place at the Water Follies event on the Columbia River. Residents from all of southeastern Washington come to Kennewick to shop in the city’s commercial district, the center point of which is Columbia Center Mall. A vibrant and active city, Kennewick is also home to the county fairgrounds where the Benton-Franklin County Fair is held along with numerous other events throughout the year.
